I LOVE the pizza here! The crust is the not-too-thick, not-too-thin hand-tossed type. It's always crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. The sauce is definitely made on site: a little sweet, a little spicy, always just the right amount. Lots of cheese, and a perfect amount of high-quality toppings! Their garlic rolls are to die for! Pasta is amazing as well. I HIGHLY recommend the mac and cheese! And, do yourself a favor, and get the chocolate cake. Really! I have never had such moist, rich, and chocolatey cake. AMAZING! Service is always good, drinks NEVER run out, and servers are always courteous and attentive.

The kitchen is the reason to visit Josephines - providing some of the finest pasta & specialty pizza offerings in NE Wisconsin. This is a great place for a small comfortable cozy dining experience with friends. A must try is the butternut squash ravioli - or the hand made gnocchi - both some of the best I've had in a long time. They have both monthly and seasonal specials - that are well worth a regular visit.

Best pizza in the area. Wish more local people supported this place as we miss their extended hours and the limiting of the pizza buffet. Service here is either excellent or mediocre depending on who you get but the food is always good. The kids loved it when one time for supper the waitress brought them each a ball of pizza dough to play with and mold until our supper came out. They had so much fun I wanted one too! Our absolute favorite is the BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Mediocre at best. Waitress did a good job. Atmosphere was decent but starting to show signs of neglect, wasn't dirty but needs some simple maintenance. I'd hate to see this place actually busy, very small. Arrived about an hour after opening so there were only a couple other tables. When you see mass-produced catering as half the online menu it's a huge red-flag, especially for a location this small. It's the reason I did not order pasta and went with a pizza for myself. My wife ordered tortellini w/meat sauce and my in-laws both ordered lasagna. None of them were impressed with their meals and my visual of it didn't inspire me to try it. Soups did not look good at all, I did not try them but my family each ordered a different one and none were enjoyed. Pizza was not good at all. Sauce was decent but nothing special. Dough around the crust was still a bit raw on the inside. Overly flaky, it was way too light of a crust and probably could double for pie crust if the leavening were removed. Cheese was low quality and not flavorful. The sausage was the same mystery meat you'd expect from a $4 frozen pizza, absolutely disgusting and I had to pick it all off. Best thing I tasted were the little garlic bread balls they served us, not that they were great but they were good none-the-less. For a place this small and the type of atmosphere, you'd expect handmade high quality with higher prices. Unfortunately, they deliver barely above fast food quality. We will not be returning. I'd give 1.5 stars if it were possible, but since the service was fine during our visit and the place wasn't covered filth I couldn't justify going down to 1. Their hours are also ridiculous. Only open for lunch 3 days a week, while I can understand Mon/Tue are slow the inconsistency will drive away business. Closed on Sunday?!?! A place that pushes it's catering and, more importantly, PIZZA business this hard on the menu is closed on Game Day... dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb... flushing money right down the toilet.

I'm quite fond of Josephine's. Being a foodie in Green Bay is quite a disappointment. I have been eating at Josephine's since they opened and I can honestly say that it's the only restaurant that I've patronized in the area that has not disappointed me ever. Mainly there for lunch. Pizza is excellent. Good sauce. & enough of it along with a good crust. Typically a pair of pasta option, a small but nice salad bar, and really good soups. Wait staff is typically quite attentive and do a good job. I work in Howard and my employer utilizes Josephine's for catering meetings. Highly recommended.

The salad was the best in a long time! The pizza the best I ever had for some reason I wanted to just keep eating it! Everything was clean neat hot and service was great! It was to die for. My wife's tortellini with peas and mushrooms and squash in a lite white sauce tasted great. Even the fresh garlic rolls were awesome! Best in town!

Excellent service and food! The garlic rolls are particularly addictive. The cannoli was really tasty.

Sloooowww.... The person seated us forgot to inform our waitress. We had time to look over the menu, troubleshoot a computer problem, and watch a nearby table get alcohol...before we even got our water. After we went to the desk to tell someone, we finally placed an order. Dinner side salads took 15 minutes to arrive. I had time between getting water and getting food to complain with my wife, read reviews on a couple of sites, register for an account here, check email for the confirmation, and log in and write this! The waitress was polite enough, but had no soul. None of them did. I think management kept theirs locked in the back until their shift was over. Food would be acceptable if not for the wait. Since it took at least 45 minutes for dinner to show, I may have to cancel my after-dinner plans.

Their bread is still fantastic, but it seems like they've shrunk their menu.

Pretty good. I will continue to go to Caffe Mario for high quality, prefect, delicious Italian. But when I want some toasted ravioli, this is where I go.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
